now the odds all stand beneath me - a tributes mix
seneca has a feeling that this year will be a good year. the tributes have come together as the perfect sum of their parts, handsome little dominoes assembled and ready to fall. he catalogues them in his head; the pretty girl from one, the bloodthirsty pair from two, no-one memorable from three or four this year, shame. the quiet girl from five stands out – he always finds the sponsors underestimate intelligence in a tribute. he wouldn’t put any hard money on six to ten. eleven make for an odd pair this year, though he tries not to think too hard about the sweet little girl. then we must not forget district twelve’s very own romeo and juliet. historically, of course, it is romeo who falls first. and that’s fine by seneca. after all, history is written by the victors.
